经中国教育部批准，2021年5月，由闽江学院与塞浦路斯欧洲大学合作创立不具有法人资格的中外合作办学机构——闽江学院国际数字经济学院。学院现有计算机科学与技术系、电子信息工程系、电子商务系、视觉传达设计系4个系，现有2021级、2022级、2023级3个年级，共计在校生735人，学生均可获得中外双学籍和中外双学位授予资格。
Approved by the Ministry of Education of China, in May 2021, Minjiang University (MJU) and European University Cyprus (EUC) cooperated to found the International Digital Economy College (IDEC), which is a Sino-foreign joint education institution without legal person status. IDEC offers four undergraduate programs: Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Marketing and Digital Communications, and Graphic Design. It has three cohorts, 2021, 2022, and 2023, with a total of 735 students currently enrolled. Students are eligible for Chinese-foreign dual enrollment and can be awarded dual degrees.
2023年，福州与塞浦路斯首都尼克西亚缔结姐妹城市。同年，闽江学院受邀签订伊拉斯谟机构合作协议（Erasmus Programme），师生可申请多达30个国家300多所大学的交流资助计划，学生毕业后有机会进入乌德勒支大学联盟成员名校深造。
In 2023, Fuzhou, China established friendly relations with Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus. In the same year, MJU signed a cooperation agreement with the Erasmus Programme, which allows teachers and students to apply for exchange funding programs from more than 300 universities in as many as 30 countries. Additionally, graduates will also have the opportunity to pursue further studies at prestigious universities that are members of the Utrecht Network.
国际数字经济学院师资力量雄厚。由塞浦路斯欧洲大学和闽江学院专任教师组成；校内师资主要来源于计算机与大数据学院、物理与电子信息工程学院、经济与管理学院、美术学院、外国语学院等依托学院及公共教学单位。
The academic staff of IDEC is highly qualified. The academic faculty members are provided by both EUC and MJU. Among them, the academic faculty members provided by MJU mainly come from the School of Computer and Big Data, the College of Physics & Electronic Information Engineering, the College of Economics and Management, the Fine Arts & Design College of Minjiang University, the College of Foreign Language, and other relying colleges and public teaching units.
国际数字经济学院教学质量良好。2023年10月以最高级的“合规”评价通过了塞浦路斯教育部的外部评估委员会（EEC）评审，学院设置的四个专业在评审设置的四大方面14个指标均获得最高等级的“合规”评价。学院开设的电子商务专业、计算机科学与技术专业为国家一流专业建设点，分别依托经济与管理学院、计算机与大数据学院共同建设，电子信息工程专业为省级一流本科专业建设点，依托物理与电子信息工程学院共同建设。学院旨在开展新工科与新文科交叉人才培养，开创“数工结合、数商结合、数艺结合”的国际化跨界数字人才培养模式，支撑信息智能学与大数据学科群和相关学科的发展，助力我校建设高水平有特色的应用型大学。
The teaching quality of IDEC is excellent. In October 2023, IDEC successfully passed the review of the External Evaluation Committee (EEC) of the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education with the highest “Compliant” rating. All four programs offered by IDEC received the highest “Compliant” rating in all 14 sub-areas of the four major areas of the review. The Marketing and Digital Communications program and the Computer Engineering program of IDEC are recognized as national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, jointly constructed with the College of Economics and Management and the School of Computer and Big Data, respectively. The Electrical and Electronic Engineering program is recognized as a provincial first-class undergraduate major construction site, jointly constructed with the College of Physics & Electronic Information Engineering. IDEC seeks to cultivate interdisciplinary talents in the fields of new engineering and new liberal arts and develop an international cross-border talent development paradigm by combining digitalization with engineering, business and art to support the development of discipline group of Information Intelligence and Big Data and related disciplines, and aid MJU in developing into a high-level application-oriented university with unique features.
2021年学院成立以来，高度注重学生德智体美劳全面发展，培养具有国际化视野的应用型人才。学生取得了诸多优异的成绩，代表性成果有：在2023年“中国—东盟创新创业大赛”决赛中，学院师生团队的《基于自动修复设计和快速制造材料的即时数字牙科修复系统》项目，荣获数字经济赛道第一名，并以团体组第三名的总成绩荣获大赛二等奖；学院2023年承办第十三届全国大学生电子商务三创赛福建赛区选拔赛，荣获省赛特等奖3项；在第十四届蓝桥杯全国软件和信息技术专业人才大赛全国总决赛，荣获C/C++程序设计大学B组三等奖；2023年在第十三届全国大学生电子商务“创新、创意及创业”挑战赛常规赛全国总决赛中，“清河艺瓷”项目荣获特等奖、“艺数网”“妊娠糖尿病营养管理”项目荣获一等奖、“程工劳务派遣”荣获二等奖、同时“清河艺瓷”项目团队获得最佳创意奖、最佳创业奖、最佳创新奖、学院林中燕、王莹、黄子轩获评最佳指导老师、优秀指导老师，闽江学院荣获省级优秀组织奖。（数据更新至2024年4月）
Since its establishment in 2021, IDEC has placed significant emphasis on the all-round development of students' sound moral grounding, intellectual ability, physical vigor, aesthetic sensibility and work skills, and cultivated application-oriented talents with international vision. Students have achieved many excellent successes. Representative accomplishments include: ▪ In the final round of the China-ASEAN Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in 2023, the faculty and student team’s project “An Instant Digital Dental Restoration System Based on Automatic Restoration Design and Rapid Fabrication Materials” won the first place in the digital economy track, and won the second prize with the third place in the group category. ▪ In 2023, the college hosted the 13th National College Students E-commerce “Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship” Challenge of Fujian regional selection competition, and won three special prizes at the provincial level. ▪ In the National Finals of the 14th “Lanqiao Cup” National Competition for Software and Information Technology Professionals, our students won the third prize in the C/C++ Program Design category for University Group B. ▪ In the national finals of the 13th National College Students E-commerce Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship Challenge in 2023, the “Qing He Yi Ci” project won the Grand Prize, the “Yi Shu Platform” and “Gestational Diabetes Mellitus Nutrition Management” projects won the first prize, and the “Cheng Gong Labor Dispatch” project was awarded the second prize. The team behind the “Qing He Yi Ci” project was honored with the Best Creativity Award, the Best Entrepreneurship Award, and the Best Innovation Award. Lin Zhongyan, Wang Ying, and Huang Zixuan from IDEC were recognized with the Best Faculty Advisor and Excellent Advisor awards. MJU was presented with the provincial Excellent Organization Award.
